About the company

Kelly Services is recruiting for a Production Operative with a Counterbalance FLT license for an international building materials company near Swadlincote, Derbyshire. With extensive experience, they supply products to the construction industry.

Your new role

Reporting to the Site Manager, the successful operative will undertake site duties safely, including receiving raw materials, storage, production, dispatch, and housekeeping. Responsibilities include operating production machinery, stacking, loading/unloading pallets, and transporting them using a FLT. Also, general site maintenance, recycling, and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet daily production targets
• Load and unload products from the plant and vehicles
• Operate a Fork Lift Truck with a Counterbalance license
• Adhere to high health and safety standards
• Follow the company's drugs and alcohol policy
• Contribute to continuous improvement in plant and production methods

Skills required

• Groundworks, civils, or building knowledge
• Manufacturing experience
• Good communication and numeracy skills
• FLT driving experience is advantageous
• Self-motivated and adaptable to diverse workloads
