Position: FLT Production Operative
Location: Bewdley
Salary: £12.40 per hour + £1 shift allowance (on late shift)
Training Period: 2 months (Mon-Fri, 6am - 2:30pm)
Post-Training Shift Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 11:00pm
Friday: 12:00pm - 6:00pm
As an FLT Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) to load palletized wood into tankers for chemical treatment, setting up machine programming, and performing associated tasks. The role also requires a mix of machine operation, computer data entry, and maintaining safety and quality standards.
After an initial training period of 2 months (6am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday), you will transition to the late shift (2:00pm to 11:00pm, Monday to Thursday and 12:00pm to 6:00pm on Fridays).
FLT Operations:
Operate a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) to load and unload palletized wood into tankers for chemical treatment.
Ensure that FLT operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
Maintain proper handling of materials, ensuring compliance with all health & safety regulations.
Machine Operations:
Set up and program machines for chemical treatment of wood.
Input cycle data into the machine and ensure all operations are running according to schedule.
Data Entry and Computer Use:
Input data into Excel spreadsheets to track production cycles.
Use computer systems for managing data related to the treatment process.
Maintain records and ensure data accuracy and compliance with company standards.
General Responsibilities:
Ensure that all machinery is maintained in good working condition.
Assist in other production tasks as required.
Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
Valid FLT CB License: Must have an in-date FLT Counterbalance license.
FLT Experience: A minimum of [insert desired years] FLT experience in a production or warehouse environment.
Machine Operation: Basic experience in machine operation or a willingness to learn.
Computer Literacy: Competent in using Microsoft Excel and able to enter data accurately. Basic understanding of computer systems is essential.
Attention to Detail: Ability to follow precise procedures and ensure the quality of the work is maintained.
Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and the ability to work in a high-paced environment.
