Manpower is recruiting a reliable FLT Counterbalance Driver for a busy industrial site in Scunthorpe. You will operate Counterbalance Forklift Trucks, support warehouse and yard activities, and ensure safe movement of materials across the site.

The role requires a valid FLT licence and experience in a fast-paced environment. The position offers 6am–10pm flexible shifts and an hourly wage of £13.60, with overtime opportunities and ongoing development on offer.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or equivalent).
• Experience operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks in warehouse/logistics/manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Willing to assist with general operative tasks when required.
• Strong awareness of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently within warehouse and yard environments.
• Load and unload vehicles, trailers, containers and storage areas.
• Transport materials and equipment between designated locations on site.
• Assist with loading, unloading, transfer, storage and positioning of goods.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report faults promptly.
• Ensure loads are secured and handled safely to prevent damage.
• Coordinate with supervisors and teams to manage workload and movements.
• Support stock management and safe storage of products.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in work areas.
• Undertake general warehouse, yard and operative duties as required.
• Follow health, safety and site procedures at all times.

Manpower are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy industrial operation in Scunthorpe. This is a hands-on role that will involve operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks, supporting warehouse and yard activities, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials across site.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the operation, working closely with production, logistics, and operational teams to maintain the smooth flow of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently within warehouse, yard, and operational environments.
• Load and unload vehicles, trailers, containers, and storage areas in accordance with operational requirements.
• Transport materials, products, and equipment safely between designated locations across site.
• Assist with the loading, unloading, transfer, storage, and positioning of goods and materials.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and pre-use checks, reporting any faults or defects promptly.
• Ensure all loads are secured and handled safely to prevent damage and maintain operational efficiency.
• Work closely with supervisors, warehouse personnel, production teams, and transport providers to coordinate workload and material movements.
• Support stock management and storage activities, ensuring products are stored accurately and safely.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness within work areas.
• Undertake general warehouse, yard, and operative duties as required to support operational demands.
• Follow all health, safety, and site procedures at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or equivalent).
• Previous experience operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Willing to assist with general operative and manual handling tasks when required.
• Strong awareness of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including shifts between 6am and 10pm.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Own transport is essential due to the site location.
