Job summary

DS Smith in Kettering is seeking a General Operative to cover the night shift as a Forklift Truck (FLT) driver at their Burton Latimer site. The role offers a rate of £18.36 per hour and a contract length of 1 month, with potential extension.

Hours are 22:00–06:00, Sunday night through Friday morning, totaling 40 hours per week. The candidate should have an FLT counterbalance licence and relevant experience in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to perform manual handling.
• FLT Counterbalance licence/experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in line with Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
• Unloading and loading vehicles.
• FLT Driving.
• Achieve high quality standards on all work produced.
• Adhere to customer demands in a timely manner.
• Complete any other duties as requested by shift manager.

Role: General Operative
Location: DS Smith, Cromwell House, Altendiez Way, Burton Latimer, Kettering NN15 5YZ
Rate: £18.36 per hour
Contract Length: 1 month potentially longer
Hours: Sunday night till Fri morning, 10pm - 6am (5 days, 40hrs per week)

Responsibilities

• Working in line with Health and Safety guidance and processes at all times
• Unloading & loading vehicles
• FLT Driving
• Achieving high quality standards on all work produced
• Adhering to customer demands in a timely manner
• Completing any other duties relevant to the department as requested by the shift manager

Essential requirements
