Job summary

Manpower is recruiting for a Warehouse/FLT driver south of Cambridge to join a busy stores and warehouse team with potential for permanent placement after a temporary period.

You will hold a valid external FLT licence (Counterbalance or Reach Truck) and contribute to safe storage, loading and stock control while adhering to health and safety policies. A strong safety mindset and prior warehouse experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily safety checks on equipment and vehicles.
• Receive, unload and store deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Check deliveries for damaged or missing items.
• Quality check products and materials.
• Operate Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck FLTs safely and effectively.
• Load and dispatch goods accurately.
• Deliver materials to production lines as required.
• Pick and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Conduct stock counts as required.
• Ensure lifting and manual handling are performed safely.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow company health, safety and environmental procedures.

Manpower is currently recruiting for a Warehouse/FLT driver to join our globally recognised client based south of Cambridge.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading organisation during an exciting period of growth. The successful candidate will become part of a busy Stores and Warehouse team, with the potential for a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

To be successful in this role, you must hold:

• A valid external FLT licence, either:CounterbalanceReach Truck
• Previous warehouse or stores experience is desirable
• A strong commitment to health and safety

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily safety checks on equipment and vehicles
• Receive, unload and store deliveries safely and efficiently
• Check deliveries for damaged or missing items
• Quality check products and materials
• Operate Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck FLTs safely and effectively
• Load and dispatch goods accurately
• Deliver materials to production lines in line with operational requirements
• Pick and prepare orders for dispatch
• Conduct stock counts as required
• Ensure all lifting and manual handling activities are carried out safely
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Follow all company health, safety and environmental procedures

Shifts

These roles will be covering a variety of working patterns based around 12-hour shifts - averaging 12 shifts a month with rest periods as long as 8 days between (Average 6/7-night shifts per month). Over time is also regularly available and paid at 1.5x or 2.0x the rate depending on the shift.
