Job summary

Aviation Recruitment Network is recruiting experienced Counterbalance forklift operatives for cargo handling, logistics and aviation employers at London Heathrow Airport.

If you have at least 6 months' forklift experience and can thrive in a busy warehouse, we’d love to hear from you. Roles include day and night shifts, with training provided. Pay ranges from £13.79 to £15.86 per hour, with a mix of 8–12 hour shifts and a structured rota.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months forklift experience.
• Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
• Willing to work in a manual environment.
• Able to provide 5-year employment and address history for airport security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Using forklift to load and unload air freight cargo pallets to and from vehicles.
• Build and break down aircraft pallets and store in warehouse racks.
• Build cargo onto aircraft units to airline specifications.
• Scanning cargo and completion of airfreight documentation.
• Performing other warehouse duties when required.

We are currently recruiting experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operatives for a range of cargo handling, logistics and aviation specialist employers operating at London Heathrow Airport.

If you have at least 6 months' forklift experience and enjoy working in a busy warehouse environment, we want to hear from you.

£13.79 p/h - £14.57 p/h for day shifts and £14.57 p/h - £15.86 p/h night shifts.

• Free Cargo Operative Training.

Day and Night shifts will include a mixture of shifts (8 - 12 hrs) between the hours of: 0530 hrs - 2359 hrs, 2200 hrs - 1000 hrs

As a Forklift Operative, your duties will include:

• Using forklift to load and unload air freight cargo pallets to and from vehicles.
• Build and break down aircraft pallets and store in warehouse racks.
• Build cargo onto aircraft units to airline specifications.
• Scanning cargo and completion of airfreight documentation.
• Performing other warehouse duties when required.

To be considered for this Forklift Operative position, we are looking for:

• A valid counterbalance forklift licence + a minimum of 6 months experience.
• The ability to perform loading and unloading duties in addition to FLT driving.
• Be prepared to work in a manual environment.
• Be able to provide a full 5-year employment and address history for airport security clearance purposes.
• Flexible to work shifts.
