Job summary

Pertemps Northampton is seeking a Bendi Driver to operate a Bendi forklift in a busy paint manufacturing and warehouse setting in Corby. You will move pallets, load and unload goods, and ensure stock is stored safely and efficiently.

The role requires a valid Bendi/Flexi forklift licence, excellent attention to detail, reliability, and strong communication in English. Regular hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with appropriate breaks.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence and good operational experience in a warehouse/manufacturing setting.

• Reliability and punctuality are essential in a small team environment.
• Clear written and spoken English for safety labels and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Bendi forklift safely and efficiently within a busy warehouse setting.
• Move pallets and materials, load/unload, ensure correct storage and movement between areas.
• Maintain safe, clean and organized working environment, with peak speed during busy periods while preserving accuracy.
• Assist with loading/unloading and general warehouse duties, lifting up to 25kg as required.

The Role

Responsible for operating a Bendi forklift safely and efficiently within a busy paint manufacturing and warehouse environment. Duties include moving, loading and unloading pallets and materials, ensuring products are stored correctly and safely, and transporting stock between warehouse and production areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Forklift safely: strong awareness of health and safety procedures, careful handling of goods, and the ability to operate the forklift confidently while maintaining a clean, organised and efficient working environment.


• Inventory Control: Assisting with stock rotation, unloading deliveries, and keeping the warehouse clean and organised.


• Maintaining Pace: Working efficiently during standard hours and finding that \"second gear\" to increase speed during peak busy periods without dropping accuracy.


• Manual Handling: Able to safely lift and move items weighing up to 25kg and, when required, come off the forklift to assist with loading, unloading and general warehouse duties

• Forklift Licence: A valid Bendi/Flexi forklift licence is essential, with proven experience operating a Bendi forklift safely and efficiently in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.


• Impeccable Attention to Detail: You must be able to spot the minor differences between highly similar product codes to prevent errors.


• Reliability & Punctuality: As a small team, short-notice absences impact us heavily. We need someone dependable who takes pride in excellent attendance.


• Strong Communication Skills: A good level of written, spoken, and reading English is essential for reading codes, labels, and safety instructions.
