Job summary

Unipart JCB is seeking an FLT Driver to operate forklifts in the Cheadle yard. The role requires a valid FLT certificate and proven forklift experience, with strict adherence to safety guidelines and weather-ready outdoor work in all conditions.

The job involves moving goods, unloading, and GRN checks, while maintaining clear radio-based communication with the team. Ongoing hours and site procedures apply.

Qualifications

• Proof of valid forklift certification is essential.
• Proven experience as a forklift operator.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and guidelines.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job; some manual handling.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Role involves yard work, getting off the truck, and checking GRNs.

Responsibilities

• Move products to the correct storage location.
• Safely unload incoming materials and products in a timely manner.
• Record offload information / paperwork for audit delivery.
• Store products in correct storage location.
• Operate TLT and other handling equipment per health & safety rules.
• Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors via radio.
• Adhere to site procedures and guidelines.

Shift Patterns:

Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-13:00

Pay Rates

OT above 39hrs paid at £21.24

As an FLT Driver

you will need to have:

• Proof of valid forklift certification is essential
• Proven experience as a forklift operator.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and guidelines
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job as this role requires some manual handling skills
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• This role involves working in the yard, getting off the truck, and checking GRNs
