Job summary

Catering in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver to join a busy metals operation in Tinsley, S9. You will operate a counterbalance forklift and feed machines with materials in a fast-paced environment.

This 12-week temporary contract offers a view to permanent employment, Monday to Friday, 7:15am to 4:15pm. A valid FLT licence and reliable attendance are essential.

• Valid counterbalance FLT licence/certificate.
• Good maths and numeracy skills.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver to join a busy industrial operation based in Tinsley, S9

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a counterbalance forklift and feeding machinery with materials, working within a fast-paced metal-processing environment.

The Role

• Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
• Feeding machines with the required materials
• Moving and handling metal products around the site
• Loading and unloading materials when required
• Supporting the production team to keep machinery running efficiently
• Following all site health & safety procedures
• Completing basic measurements and calculations as required

About You

• Previous counterbalance forklift experience
• Experience working within the metals industry
• Ideally, experience with processes such as metal crushing, turning or similar
• A good level of maths and numeracy
• Good attention to detail
• A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• The ability to work safely and as part of a team
• A valid counterbalance FLT licence/certificate
