Job summary

Gap Personnel in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver to join a busy metals operation in Tinsley, S9. You will operate a counterbalance forklift and feed machinery with materials in a fast-paced environment.

Working Monday to Friday, 7:15am–4:15pm, this 12-week temp-to-perm contract offers long-term opportunities for the right candidate who can maintain safety, accuracy and good attendance.

Qualifications

• Previous counterbalance forklift experience.
• Experience in metals processing environment.
• Experience with processes such as metal crushing, turning or similar.
• Good maths and numeracy skills.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.
• Feed machines with required materials.
• Move and handle metal products around site.
• Load and unload materials as required.
• Support production team to keep machinery running.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.
• Complete basic measurements and calculations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a counterbalance forklift andfeeding machinery with materials, working within a fast-paced metal-processing environment.

The Role

• Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
• Feeding machines with the required materials
• Moving and handling metal products around the site
• Loading and unloading materials when required
• Supporting the production team to keep machinery running efficiently
• Following all site health & safety procedures
• Completing basic measurements and calculations as required

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous counterbalance forklift experience
• Experience working within themetals industry
• Ideally, experience with processes such asmetal crushing, turning or similar
• A good level ofmaths and numeracy
• Good attention to detail
• A strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• The ability to work safely and as part of a team
• A valid counterbalance FLT licence/certificate
