FLT Counterbalance Driver

Flexible People Ltd are urgently seeking a night warehouse operative with a valid Counterbalance license for a well-known company based in Atherton, Manchester.

This is a full-time, Sunday to Thursday night shift position, with shift timings from 20:30 to 05:00.

Please note, you must be flexible for training, which may be scheduled on nights.

This role is for our industry-leading client that specializes in the distribution of wholesale cleaning products.

Responsibilities of the role:

1. Operate a Counterbalance forklift
2. Load and unload trucks using a forklift
3. Transport materials to designated areas in the warehouse
4. Maintain inventory accuracy through regular counts and reconciling discrepancies
5. Inspect and perform basic maintenance on the forklift as needed
6. Adhere to safety protocols and keep the work area clean and organized
7. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements:

• Valid counterbalance operator certification with at least 2 years of experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Valid driving license

You must be well-presented, own black or navy work trousers and a T-shirt, a high-visibility vest, and safety boots. As a representative of the company, excellent customer service skills are essential.

You should be physically fit, as the role involves lifting.

You need a national insurance number and must be fluent in English, with good reading and writing skills.

The pay rate is £13.82 per hour.

You will be required to complete some paperwork electronically before starting.
