Job Description:

Overview

We are seeking a skilled FLT Counterbalance and Reach Driver to join our diverse and inclusive team. As an integral part of our warehouse operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving Reach and Counterbalance trucks to safely and efficiently move goods within the facility.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30-16:30

Pay: £12.90 per hour

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Reach and Counterbalance trucks to transport materials and goods within the warehouse
• Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring that all items are securely stored
• Conduct equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure proper functioning
• Adhere to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and maintain organized storage areas
• Assist with other warehouse tasks such as assembly work, picking/packing, and general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

• Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance Truck certifications
• Previous experience as an FLT driver in a warehouse or distribution centre
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Day-to-day

• Arrive at the warehouse and perform pre-shift equipment checks
• Receive instructions for daily tasks and prioritize activities based on deadlines
• Operate Reach and Counterbalance trucks to transport materials and complete loading/unloading tasks
• Collaborate with co-workers to ensure efficient work flow and maintain a tidy work environment
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
