As Aldi’s Flow Planner, you’ll have the opportunity to shape your working environment as a member of the project team designing a state-of-the-art automated distribution centre.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager (Stock & Systems), you’ll be responsible for managing efficient product flow through our automated distribution centre, ensuring successful inbound and outbound deliveries.

As Flow Planner, you will continually seek operational improvements, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations on labour movements based on actual performance against the plan.

Please note, the salary displayed is based on 45 hours per week. You'll work a 4-day week including weekends.

Your New Role:

1. Managing the automated day-to-day operational product flows throughout the entire distribution centre.
2. Reviewing orders to ensure continual flow of products, identifying risks, issues, and mitigating these where possible whilst ensuring communication with cross-functional teams to resolve in a timely manner.
3. Working closely with the transport team to ensure timely order fulfilment in line with outbound transport planning.
4. Monitoring upcoming work for the team and providing an estimate of future resource requirements and constraints.
5. Working closely with the Maintenance team to identify planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring successful order fulfilment, maximum utilisation of equipment, and optimum efficiency of the site.
6. Providing key information of affected operational flows to the appointed colleagues during day-to-day shift operation.
7. Analyzing and forecasting in-shift and short-term people requirements based on daily throughput.
8. Order management across temperature zones ensuring synchronicity.
9. Wave releasing of work via the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
10. Interface with NIT/Maintenance vendors on software updates.
11. Capacity planning including highlighting capacity shortfalls and optimizing low & high-volume productivity.
12. Investigating, analyzing challenges, and offering operational solutions (manual and automated).
13. Collaborating on internal operational documentation and processes as required.
14. Responsible for stock transfer when technical issues arise.
