Job description

Position: Syncros Trainee Entrance Matting Installer

About the role

We are seeking Trainee Floor layers to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing various flooring products, PVC systems, sheet materials, and subfloor preparation with screed and latex products.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install entrance matting materials to specific requirements
• Remove existing flooring and dispose of it responsibly
• Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and smoothing surfaces
• Ensure installations meet customer specifications
• Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and ensure satisfaction

Skills and Requirements

• Certifications: CSCS card with a skilled worker (blue card) in Entrance Matting; framing is an advantage
• Driving: Full valid UK clean driving licence held for at least 12 months
• Experience: Entrance matting installer or trainee floor layer familiar with products and subfloor prep
• Technical Skills: Experienced with hand and power tools such as jigsaw, plunge saw, grinders, and drills
• Detail-oriented: High standards for finishing details
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot during installations
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills
• Flexibility: Willingness to work various days, nights, and stay away as required
