The Opportunity:
We are recruiting a skilled and motivated Flooring Fitter on behalf of our client-an established independent organisation providing accommodation services nationwide. Reporting to the Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader, this hands-on role involves carrying out both responsive and planned maintenance tasks across a portfolio of properties.

If you have a practical background in flooring, painting, decorating, or general maintenance, and you're looking for a role where no two days are the same, this could be the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
Working across both occupied and void (empty) properties, your duties will include but are not limited to:

Cleaning existing flooring and preparing surfaces (including levelling compounds)

Removing and repositioning furniture and doors as needed

Installing underlay and fitting flooring using various methods (grippers, adhesives, heat-sealing, etc.)

Installing a variety of materials including wood, laminate, and vinyl

Removing old flooring and ensuring proper disposal

Painting & Decorating

Preparing and cleaning surfaces (e.g., scraping, sanding, steam cleaning)

Removing old wallpaper and flaking paint

Repairing cracks and filling holes in walls and woodwork

Sanding and preparing surfaces for painting or redecorating

Other Responsibilities

Performing groundwork repairs as needed

Supporting the wider property services team

Carrying out additional duties as directed by the Head of Property Services

What We're Looking For:

Hands-on experience in flooring, decorating, or general property maintenance

Strong attention to detail and a practical, solution-oriented mindset

Ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently

Full UK Driving Licence (essential) - DVLA checks will be carried out

The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
