Job summary

Soho House in Bath is seeking a Floor Manager to lead a floor team and deliver exceptional service while upholding Soho House standards. You will work with the General Manager and management team to ensure a warm, elevated experience for members, guests and staff from greeting to payment.

Your responsibilities include driving service excellence, leading training sessions on food and beverage programs, coordinating with departments, recruiting support with People & Development, and overseeing

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Hospitable, approachable and customer-service oriented.
• Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow directions and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive exceptional service standards and refine systems for members, guests, and staff.
• Lead training sessions on Soho House food and drink programs through storytelling and demos.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless guest interactions and brand alignment.
• Support recruitment by identifying talent needs and participating in interviews with People & Development.
• Oversee onboarding and development of new team members to keep the floor team confident and guest-focused.
• Gather member feedback with the Membership team to improve service offerings.
• Train staff on Soho House core values and service standards.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure tasks are completed to the highest standard.
• Create efficient staff rotas and manage labour costs to reduce overtime.
• Uphold appearance, safety, and professionalism standards across the team.

The Role…

At Soho House, the Floor Manager is responsible for maintaining the food and beverage operation in conjunction with the General Manager and management team. As the Floor Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage a floor team to deliver a successful and efficient service whilst upholding Soho House service standards and creating an approachable yet elevated atmosphere for members, guests and staff. You’ll ensure that members have an enjoyable experience and deliver excellent service from initial greeting, taking orders, making recommendations and paying of the bill.

Key duties…

• Drive exceptional service standards by developing and refining systems that enhance the experience for members, guests, and staff.

• Collaborate across departments to ensure every guest interaction is seamless, aligned with brand expectations, and delivered with consistency.
• Support recruitment efforts by identifying talent needs, participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates alongside People & Development.
• Oversee onboarding and development of new team members, ensuring the floor team is confident, polished, and guest-focused.
• Gather and act on member feedback in partnership with the Membership team to continuously improve service and offerings.
• Train and coach staff on Soho House core values, roles, and service standards to build a high-performing and knowledgeable team.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard.
• Create efficient staff rotas, manage labour costs, and reduce unnecessary overtime to maintain operational excellence.
• Uphold and enforce standards of appearance, compliance, safety, and professionalism across the team.

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity
