Summary
We are seeking dedicated Floor Managers to join our teams at MUJI in the London (Covent Garden and Tottenham Court Road). This role is vital to ensuring our store operations run smoothly and efficiently while upholding our core principles of quality and simplicity. The Floor Manager will play a key role in enhancing customer experiences and leading our team to success.
Responsibilities
- Sales and Commerciality: To ensure all staff maintain high standards of product knowledge with reference to both new and existing lines.
- Sales and Commerciality: To ensure all staff are using a proactive approach towards customer service using the best seller file and customer journey map.
- Sales and Commerciality: Provide the highest standard of service excellence with regard to sales and after-sales service.
- Sales and Commerciality: Point of Sale. Keep an up to date knowledge of all cash systems including methods of payment, refund policy, and discounts.
- Sales and Commerciality: Guarantee all end of the day procedures are followed including cashing up, banking and bag checks as outlined by MUJI procedures.
- Staff Training: Provide support to the management team on training staff to consistently achieve high standards of customer service, providing continuous updates on products.
- Staff Training: To help induct all new members of staff as laid out by manager.
- Staff Training: Ensure that the staff is efficient with all deliveries and stock systems.
- Staff Training: Provide support and encouragement for all staff and feedback any particular training need to the management team.
- Administration: Maintain awareness of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly figures and budgets.
- Administration: To be conversant with weekly line reports and best sellers list and using this information to utilise the shop floor to its best advantage.
- Administration: To help with all other general administration including rotas, personnel records, absentee and overtime sheets and petty cash.
- Administration: Maintain responsibility for exercising control over all company assets and assisting in twice-yearly stock takes.
- Security: To aid the management team with regard to the general security of customers and stock.
- Security: Maintain awareness of security with all staff members.
- Security: Seek to heighten security awareness on the shop floor.
- Security: Ensure an incident report is filled in to record any unusual occurrences.
- Security: Take responsibility for security of the store as well as stock and cash and liaise with Line Manager or UK Managing Director over potential problems.
- Health & Safety: Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy at all times.
- Health & Safety: Support the management team with all aspects of health and safety, communicating any potential problems.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all health and safety regulations are carried out to their full extent.
- Qualifications: Strong supervisory skills.
- Qualifications: Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Qualifications: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualifications: Previous experience in Retail.
