We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Floor Layer to join our team. Duties

• Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas accurately.
• Install various types of flooring, including carpet, vinyl, laminate, and hardwood.
• Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and repairing as necessary.
• Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete installations.
• Follow schematics and project specifications to ensure proper installation techniques.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and painters, to achieve the desired results.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the installation process.

Skills

• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to flooring installation.
• Strong understanding of building techniques and materials used in flooring applications.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for accurate installation.
• Experience in carpentry or related fields is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality workmanship.

Requirements

• Must be able to show 5 years worth of references (even if not relevant to the vacant role).
• Must not have been out of the country for more than 28 days at one time.
• CSCS Card is required.
