Sherwoods is expanding its flooring team across South Wales as we grow our long-term facilities maintenance contracts. You will join a business that promotes from within, with progression based on readiness and performance rather than titles.

Qualifications

• Experience as a floor layer with knowledge of fitting vinyl, carpet and cap and cove.
• Experience in facilities maintenance sector.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and knowledge transfer.
• Carpentry and basic plumbing skills are advantageous.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive flooring work across client sites, from routine tasks to small projects.
• Work with vinyl, carpet and safety flooring materials.
• Minor repairs to wooden sub-floor structures.
• Estimate works with detailed scope and materials.
• Record completed works and follow-ups in the job management system.
• Follow realistic pre-planned schedules, with some on-call duties.
