What's the role? ...You will lead the Council's flood risk management work, driving our strategic approach to understanding the risks the borough faces, while working with colleagues across highways, public realm, parks, planning and beyond to develop and deliver sustainable drainage, natural flood management and wider nature-based work to transform the urban landscape.

What we're looking forYou will have strong technical expertise on flood risk management aligned with a passion for the positive ways water and nature can shape the urban environment. We're looking for someone who can turn strategy into action with the organisational skills and capacity to drive flood resilience work working alongside and managing a wide range of stakeholders across the Council, the borough and beyond.
LocationThe job is primarily based in Laurence House, but will also involve working in locations across the borough. The Council also operates a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
Special conditions- Must hold a relevant qualification in transport/engineering/flood risk, or be educated to degree level, or equivalent experience
