Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant
Location: Leeds, London or Manchester (Hybrid)

We’re currently looking for a Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant to join our friendly and experienced Water Services team at Lucion. If you're passionate about flood risk management, sustainable drainage, and want to work on a wide range of planning and due diligence projects, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll support and deliver flood and drainage projects from start to finish, including:

Preparing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and supporting planning documents

Contributing to drainage designs using SuDS principles and producing technical drawings and plans

Supporting flood risk reviews and reporting for investors and developers

Working closely with clients and other teams across Lucion

Getting involved in wider service areas like nutrient neutrality and ESG (where relevant)

What We’re Looking For:

A degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering or similar, or equivalent experience

Around 2–4 years of experience in a flood risk or drainage role

Familiarity with relevant planning and environmental regulations

Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

Confidence working with clients and collaborating in teams

Experience using GIS software (QGIS or similar)

A willingness to continue learning and working toward professional accreditation
