Job description

My client, a market leading multidisciplinary Engineering and Planning Consultancy, is searching for a Flood Risk Consultant to join the Team based in York.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in Hydrology or Civil Engineering and have experience completing Flood Risk Assessment, Hydrological Assessment and Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications.

Candidates are also required to have experience completing or reviewing detailed Drainage Design for Residential Developments using Microdrainage or Causeway Flow.

It is beneficial for applicants to have experience completing Flood Estimation or Hydraulic Modelling.

As a Flood Risk Consultant you will have the opportunity to work on varied pre-planning projects spanning residential, commercial and retail sectors for Private and Public Sector Clients and Local Authorities. You will join a supportive team and be expected to complete, review and amend Flood Risk Assessments, Hydrological Assessment, Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications and detailed SuDS design using Microdrainage and Causeway Flow.

You will also be required to complete Flood Estimation using Winfap and Earthworks modelling.
