Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Science or related field required.
  • Experience working with Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and SuDS preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant Section Agreements is beneficial.

Job description

My client, an accomplished, sustainable Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Flood Risk Consultant to join their growing team of experts in the Northern coastal city of Hull.

Essential Criteria:

- A Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or other relevant field

- Experience of working with Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)

- Good working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.), and their respective applications

- Working knowledge of Infoworks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, etc.

It would also benefit applicants for the role of Flood Risk Consultant to possess the following:

- Experience of stakeholder liaison

- Excellent time management and communication skills

In your new role of Flood Risk Consultant, you will join a team of expert design engineers with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve several exciting responsibilities, including:

- Developing and implementing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and working on Flood Mitigation Projects

- Designing Drainage Strategies and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)

- Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to the relevant Section Agreements

- Liaising with a range of clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
