Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer

Newcastle

Full-time, Hybrid Working

Are you an ambitious Flood Risk or Civil Engineer with a passion for flood risk and drainage design? Looking for a role that offers variety, career progression, and the chance to work on exciting projects across multiple sectors?

My client is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their Water Services team in Newcastle. You will be trained by an experienced team to complete a diverse range of projects, from major waterfront developments and trunk road schemes to rail infrastructure and renewable energy projects. This is the perfect opportunity for an engineer eager to develop design skills, contribute to complex projects, and thrive in a supportive environment.

As a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer, you will complete;

* Innovative designs for flood protection, drainage systems, SuDS, and watercourse structures.

-Drainage Strategies and Drainage Designs using Infodrainage and Flow.

-Flood Risk Assessments.

* Contribute to river modelling, coastal flood risk assessments, and climate change resilience projects.

* Complete projects related to water supply and drainage infrastructure.

* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and consultants to deliver high-quality solutions for clients.

Candidates are required to have a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and ideally be working towards Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or CIWEM.

You are also required to have experience working for a UK based consultancy specialising in drainage strategy and Design using AutoCAD, Infodrainage, Causeway Flow or Civils 3D.

You will also be expected to reside close to Newcastle as you will be required to work from the office on a hybrid basis.
