Job description

My client, a large, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, in the lively city of Bristol.

Essential Criteria:

* Extensive experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies

* Excellent working knowledge of relevant software packages, including InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, GIS, and others

* Good knowledge of various industry standards and planning system, including flood-related policy, the NPPF, and the SuDS Manual

* Recognition of flood- and drainage-related constraints and opportunities, with a view to applying these at a range of development sites

* Experience of project management, and confidence in employing clear and concise reporting skills

* Outstanding communication skills

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to have the following:

* Some experience of stakeholder management and engagement

* A demonstrable commitment to improving your knowledge and skills in the field

* Good time management skills, and able to remain flexible and adaptable

As a Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant, you will be joining a growing team of dedicated engineering and design specialists, working on a number of varied, high-profile projects across the country and overseas. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:

* Assist with the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies

* Contribute to projects across the property, renewable energy, and aviation sectors

* Oversee projects from early strategy development, throughout all other aspects of the process, through to successful implementation

* Work with a variety of consenting regimes, including Town and Country Planning, Development Consent Orders, etc.

* Work with the wider team, and external stakeholders, to design SuDS schemes, integrating strategies in the broader masterplan, and prepare planning reports
