Job description

My client, an innovative, trusted Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is currently searching for a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their expert team of specialist engineers, based near the beautiful, historical city of Bath.

Essential Criteria:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a similar field.
  • Demonstrable commercial experience in authoring Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), drainage strategy reports, and working with Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
  • Working knowledge of relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S38, S102, S104).
  • Competent in MicroDrainage WinDES, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.

Desirable additional skills:

  • A full UK driver's license.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and guidelines, including NPPF, CIRIA SuDS Design Manual, Sewer Sector Guidance, and Building Regulations.

In your role, you will:

  • Submit Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports.
  • Make planning applications for various projects.
  • Conduct research and produce reports.
  • Create drawings and plans using AutoCAD and InfoDrainage.
  • Visit sites and attend team meetings.
