Flood & Drainage Consultant / Engineer (Hydrology)

RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is looking for a Flood & Drainage Consultant / Engineer (Hydrology) based in Leeds.

Position: Experienced Consultant/Engineer

We are seeking an established flood and drainage consultant to join our Hydrology Team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have around 2-5 years of experience or more in a similar role.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting Flood Risk Assessments and Environmental Statements (ES) chapters.
  • Consulting with Local Planning Authorities (LPA), Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA), Water Companies, and Regulators.
  • Conducting site walkovers and technical duties related to water and flood risk.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in delivering Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Design, and planning applications.
  • Flow modelling from conceptual to detailed design stages, using recognized UK flow modelling packages.
  • Supporting bid preparation, client engagement, and business development.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development.
Candidate Profile

You should have 2-5+ years' experience, preferably with a relevant chartership. The role involves project delivery, team management, and client liaison.
