Floating Support Worker Needed in South London!
Pay:
£16.63 + holiday pay = £18.63 or £21.50 umbrella per hour
Clients:
Ex Homeless clients within their own tenancies
Assignment:
3 months with potential extension
Hours:
Full time 37.5 hours, 0900 - 17:00 - 5 days a week across Monday - Friday
Location:
Every south London borough - within M25 - mostly Bexley/Greenwich, a lot in Lambeth and Wandsworth, some in Kingston - Travel expenses incurred during shift times are covered
Our social care client needs a Floating Support Worker to provide housing related support to vulnerable ex homeless clients, to ensure they maintain their tenancy and get them ready for an independent lifestyle. You will be supporting 20-25 clients across all South London boroughs, the frequency of how often you will need to visit each service user will depend on their level of need. So, this is a great opportunity to be out in the community supporting those who need your advice and guidance most!
The clients themselves have a variety of support needs ranging from low to medium, all of which are ex-rough sleepers and have a variety of support needs including substance misuse, mental health issues and low independence. You will be helping them improve and obtain accommodation and gain the skills and knowledge they need to maintain a property and live an independent life. You will need to demonstrate patience, perseverance, and motivation to really get the best out of your case load, in this social care position.
