Job summary

Discovery is seeking a Floating Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities and autism across North Somerset. The role offers real variety and purpose, with a pay rate of £15.54 per hour for both full-time and part-time positions.

A driver with access to a car and business insurance is essential as you will travel to different homes and services to help people live independently and confidently. Full training is provided, and interviews are held on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

• A driver with access to a car and business insurance.
• Able to travel within approx. an hour of home.
• Flexible with varied shift patterns (early, late & occasional sleep-ins).
• Able to work alternate weekends.
• Caring, adaptable, people-focused approach (no experience needed).

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily living, personal care and community activities
• Build positive relationships and empower independence
• Work across different services depending on need
• Support individuals who may be non-verbal or use wheelchairs (full training provided)
