A dedicated charity organization based in England is looking for a Floating Support Worker who can provide flexible, person-centered support. The role requires building strong relationships with clients, assessing their needs, and adapting to various environments. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social issues, have excellent organizational skills, and possess a valid UK driving license for travel roles. This position offers opportunities for career growth and comprehensive benefits, including generous leave and wellness support.
Whilst this role will primarily be 9-5, there will be expectations of some early starts & late finishes. As a Floating Support Worker, no two weeks are the same. One week you might be supporting clients in our Bath Domestic Abuse Services, the next in Supported Housing in Mendip, or on the ground with our Gloucestershire Outreach team. You'll be stepping into services that need an extra pair of hands - offering flexible, responsive support wherever it's needed most. You'll build meaningful relationships with clients, adapt quickly to different environments, and work alongside experienced colleagues who will support your growth. Give clients advice, provide information, and deliver an enabling service so they can be signposted to and access appropriate services.
Ensure that all clients receive a high-quality, person-centered service that adopts a strength-based and trauma-informed approach.
Develop professional relationships with external partners to enhance service provision and improve client outcomes.
Perform other duties within the scope of the role as directed by the Programme Manager or other senior staff.
Great opportunities for career development and free monthly training sessions from experienced facilitators.
Wellbeing support and advice, including up to 6 free counselling sessions through our Employee Assistance Programme. As an Equal Opportunities employer, we are committed to creating an inclusive culture, with an active Inclusion & Diversity group. We welcome applications from all backgrounds, especially underrepresented minority groups and those with lived experience. We embrace flexibility, are Disability Confident and Mindful employers, and support the Armed Forces community.
If you have any access requirements or need support during the application process, please contact us. We accept CVs and applications in all formats. All roles involving client interaction will require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. A criminal conviction does not automatically disqualify you; decisions are made based on relevance to the role. For discussions about convictions, contact the person named in the advert. All data is handled according to our Data Protection Policy.
