We are seeking a Floating Secondary Teacher to provide cover and support across multiple subject areas and year groups (Years 7–11). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day teaching and can quickly adapt to different classrooms, subjects, and learner needs.
You’ll work flexibly across the school to ensure consistency in teaching and learning, maintaining high standards and promoting positive outcomes for students in both short- and long-term cover assignments.
Deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects including core and foundation areas
Support learners from Year 7 to Year 11, adapting to their needs and abilities
Quickly integrate into different classroom settings, building rapport with students and staff
Maintain continuity of learning during staff absences
Work collaboratively with department leads to ensure effective lesson delivery
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with secondary school experience
Confident teaching across a range of subjects and key stages
Adaptable, proactive, and resilient with excellent classroom management skills
A strong communicator who can build relationships quickly with both staff and students
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced school environment
Passionate about education and flexible in your teaching approach
