We currently own and operate over 85 apartment communities in the Pacific Northwest and Southwestern United States with other markets under consideration.

We are looking for a talented Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team of Community Champions! The Maintenance Technician maintains the physical condition of communities and equipment according to company guidelines and standards, protecting from damage, loss, and deterioration. This position conducts preventative maintenance, emergency support, regular inspections, service requests, and cosmetic care. The work requires emphasis on safe work practices, sustained physical effort, troubleshooting, problem solving, attention to detail, customer service, and time management.

Essential Functions: Include but are not limited to:

  1. Service Requests: Ensure service requests are completed professionally and accurately within twenty-four (24) hours, including scheduling vendors if necessary.
  2. Preventive Maintenance: Update, execute, and document preventive maintenance schedules regularly and inform your manager of outstanding items.
  3. Property Inspections and Maintenance: Perform inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, appearance, and landscaping standards are met.
  4. Relations: As a frontline employee, establish and maintain good relations with residents, prospective tenants, vendors, and coworkers, always interacting courteously and professionally.
  5. Occupancy Management: Oversee and schedule all aspects of the make-ready process to ensure apartments are ready for occupancy, including inspections, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, carpet cleaning/replacement, painting, equipment maintenance, and cleaning.
  6. Maintain Commitment to Safety: Maintain life safety equipment such as fire pumps, sprinklers, emergency generators, fire panels, smoke detectors, CO detectors, etc., including testing. Keep the work environment safe, clean, and organized, following all safety precautions.
  7. Floater: Provide maintenance support across multiple properties as needed.

Work Conditions:

Must be flexible, adaptable, resilient, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Capable of managing logistics of travel, providing support, and navigating infrastructural challenges in diverse environments.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, drywall repairs, carpentry, or pool maintenance.
  2. Credentials: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent relationship management and customer service skills.
  4. Problem Solver: Demonstrate tact and empathy, resolving concerns promptly.
  5. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, bend, and lift items up to 75 lbs.
  6. Travel: Occasional travel for supplies or support to other locations, with valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance required.
