Floating Quarry Operative

Salary £15.03 per hour

Hours 7am-5pm with 6 hours one Saturday morning per month

Location Based at Darrington Quarry, covering sites from Jackdaw Crag Quarry (Tadcaster) to Barnsdale Bar Quarry (Kirk Smeaton)

As a Floating Quarry Operative at FCC Environment, you will support operations across multiple quarry sites, ensuring the safe and efficient running of both mobile and fixed plant equipment. This is a key operational role, maintaining productivity and quality across the business unit.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week.

What will you be doing?

• Operating mobile and fixed plant at multiple quarry sites
• Performing daily inspections and reporting defects
• Following Health & Safety and Environmental Management systems
• Supporting production and maintenance of high-quality quarry materials
• Conducting basic preventative maintenance on equipment
• Contributing to safe, efficient, and environmentally considerate operations
• Travelling regularly between operational quarry sites as directed
