Job summary

Kwik Fit Colchester is hiring an MOT Tester to join our network as a Floating MOT Tester. You will carry out MOT tests across a range of centres in the local area.

You will guide customers through the MOT process, explain any work required, and ensure the vehicle remains safe on the road.

A valid MOT licence and driving licence are required. You will work with colleagues to deliver high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid MOT licence and a driving licence.
• Experience carrying out MOT tests to government standards.
• Ability to explain findings and recommend repairs to customers.
• Strong customer service and rapport-building skills.
• Willingness to work across multiple centres as needed.

This role offers an OTE of £37,000-£42,000 inclusive of basic salary and bonus.

We are looking for an MOT Tester with MOT Testing experience to join us to support local centres as a Floating MOT Tester. Within this role you will carry out MOT Testing at a range of centres in the local area.

The Day to Day

You’ll deliver all aspects of the MOT test to Government standards, with the key objective of keeping our customers safe on the road. You’ll support the customer through the process-updating them with progress, any work that needs doing and, where necessary, why their car failed. It's all about building lifelong customer relationships, and you’ll put as much into that as you do the technical aspects of your role.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll need a valid MOT licence and driving licence.

You’ll also be able to reassure customers that they’re in safe hands and build rapport so that choose us for their MOT every year. And if there's work to be done around the Centre, you’ll always be up for pitching in with your colleagues whenever you get a spare moment.
