Position Purpose:

Under management’s guidance, the Hospital Services Swing worker travels between healthcare facilities to provide on-site waste collection and exchange services for programs like Sharps Management, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management. This includes scheduled visits, covering for other team members, and assisting supervisors as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as backup for Hospital Services Technicians, traveling to healthcare facilities to manage waste containers and assist with asset/inventory management.
• Interact professionally with customer staff to meet or exceed service expectations.
• Maintain a strict collection schedule and assist with installations when required.
• Communicate status updates as scheduled.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Physical requirements include extensive lifting (up to 55 pounds), walking, bending, and pushing carts up to 500 pounds.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of industry-related experience in customer service or equivalent.
• Mandatory immunizations and credentialing may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Reside within a reasonable commute to Birmingham.
• Ability to work independently and proficiently use computer applications for tracking KPIs.

Schedule & Location:

• Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
• Servicing local Birmingham hospitals and healthcare facilities

Schedule may change based on business needs. Parking reimbursement provided.
