Job summary

Salford Council is seeking a Floating General Assistant to support school catering across the Worsley/Walkden area, with base at St Marks CE Primary School. You will help the Cook Supervisor by setting up dining rooms, serving meals and performing basic food preparation.

The role is permanent and term-time only, offering varied work across several schools within Salford. A flexible, detail-focused team player is preferred, with a willingness to adapt to different sites and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining rooms for meals.
• Wash up and maintain cleanliness of dining areas.
• Serve meals to pupils and assist with basic food preparation.

Required to work Worsley / Walkden Area - Base school will be St Marks CE Primary School

Working Hours: 10 hours per week, Mon Fri 11.30am-1.30pm

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only

As a Floating General Assistant you will be required to work in various schools within the area of your base school. You will assist the Cook Supervisor in providing healthy, nutritious meals for the children of Salford. Duties may include setting up of dining rooms, washing up, serving of food and some basic food preparation.
