London – hybridTHE COMPANY: Our client is a leading law firm, who is seeking a Float Executive Assistant (Mat Cover), who can operate successfully and provide client and business focused support, in the absences of EA’s covering all practice areas of the company.
THE ROLE:- Act as a professional ambassador for partners, ensuring seamless service in their EA’s absence and maintaining strong client relationships internally and externally.
- Take ownership of handovers, proactively manage appointments, meetings, and inboxes, ensuring partners are prepared and schedules run smoothly.
- Handle complex billing and compliance matters, coordinate WIP meetings, and oversee financial processes, including tracking unpaid bills.
- Build effective relationships with partners, liaise with Marketing & Business Development teams, and play a key role in organising events, seminars, and conferences.
- Arrange travel logistics, attend meetings and take minutes, follow best practices to enhance department performance, and ensure continuity through thorough handovers.
THE PERSON:- Proven experience providing high-quality support to a busy legal team in a professional environment, ensuring seamless workflow and efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly convey information and update teams on delays. Confident in adapting to change and taking initiative to anticipate team needs.
- Strong ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure. Diplomatic, with good judgement and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
- A committed team player who fosters strong relationships across all levels and maintains a client-focused approach. Enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated to deliver excellence.
- Advanced MS Office skills with a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm. Punctual, flexible, and responsive, ensuring tasks are completed with precision and efficiency.
