Magdrive Ltd in the UK is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to lead the mechanical integration of thruster assemblies, ensuring structures, components and electrical hardware are coherently packaged into a compact, flight‑ready system.

This role sits at the interface of mechanical, electrical and manufacturing disciplines, turning advanced R&D concepts into integration‑ready hardware, aligning interfaces, eliminating clashes and driving readiness for qualification campaigns and flight

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years' experience developing space or high‑performance mechanical hardware.
• Strong communication with multi‑disciplinary teams to align on solutions.
• Experience supporting environmental test campaigns.
• Experience with configuration control and change management processes.

Aufgaben

• Design thruster structural components and handle mechanical integration from concept through flight hardware.
• Ensure clash‑free integration of mechanical and electrical hardware, including structures, components and PCBs.
• Support transition of designs from R&D prototypes to flight release, ensuring environmental and mechanical requirements are met.
• Support mechanical aspects of environmental and functional test campaigns, including test configurations and fixtures.
• Incorporate MAIT feedback and NCRs to resolve recurring assembly, test, and integration issues at design source.
• Support definition and verification of mechanical interfaces to the spacecraft, including mounting, alignment, and load paths.
