Job Description

You will be required to carry out Flick testing, also known as a 'flash' test, which is an emergency lighting test. This involves temporarily switching off the building's power to check whether emergency light fittings (luminaires) remain illuminated and turn on. If they do not provide sufficient light, they need to be repaired or replaced.

The job will involve travelling around a specific region.

Additional Testing

A duration test, also called a discharge test, involves fully draining the batteries of emergency lights to verify if they would work in an emergency, such as a fire or power cut. This test helps identify issues with battery drainage, battery life, or damaged lighting elements that may need replacement.

Requirements

You will require a Level 3 electrical installation qualification, 18th Edition certification, and a valid driving licence.
