Kairos Recruitment is seeking a skilled Flexographic Printer in South London to operate and maintain flexographic presses, ensuring high print quality and efficient production. The role involves setup, ink preparation, colour matching, and adherence to safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have experience with narrow web presses, strong attention to detail and the ability to work to production deadlines in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a narrow web flexographic printing press.
• Knowledge of printing processes, substrates and inks.
• Ability to read job sheets and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good mechanical troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate flexographic printing presses.
• Mount printing plates and cylinders accurately.
• Prepare and mix inks to required colour specifications.
• Adjust machine settings including speed, pressure and alignment.
• Monitor print runs for colour accuracy, registration and consistency.
• Inspect printed materials and maintain quality standards.
• Troubleshoot printing or mechanical issues during production.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintain production records and job documentation.
• Follow all health & safety procedures.

Two-Shift Rotation - Monday to Friday

• Morning Shift 05:50 - 13:25
• Afternoon Shift 13:25 - 21:00
• Friday (Shorter Shifts): Morning 06:00 - 12:00, Afternoon 12:00 - 18:00

About the role as a Flexographic Printer

As a Flexographic Printer, you will operate and maintain flexographic printing presses while ensuring high standards of print quality and production efficiency.
