Job summary

Kairos Recruitment is seeking a skilled Flexographic Printer to join a well-established printing and packaging operation in Croydon. You will operate and maintain flexographic presses, ensuring high print quality and production efficiency.

The role involves setting up presses, mounting plates, mixing inks, adjusting speed and alignment, and keeping production records. It offers a two-shift rotation (Mon-Fri) with morning and afternoon slots and benefits such as pension, cycle-to-work and on-site

Qualifications

• Experience operating a narrow web flexographic printing press.
• Knowledge of printing processes, substrates and inks.
• Ability to read job sheets and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work effectively to production deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate flexographic printing presses
• Mount printing plates and cylinders accurately
• Prepare and mix inks to required colour specifications
• Adjust machine settings including speed, pressure and alignment
• Monitor print runs for colour accuracy, registration and consistency
• Inspect printed materials and maintain quality standards
• Troubleshoot printing or mechanical issues during production
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning
• Maintain production records and job documentation
• Follow all health & safety procedures

Position: Flexographic Printer

Location: Croydon

Salary: From £35,000 (depending on experience)

Hours:

(Two-Shift Rotation - Monday to Friday)

Morning Shift

05:50 - 13:25

Afternoon Shift

13:25 - 21:00

Friday (Shorter Shifts):

Morning: 06:00 - 12:00

Afternoon: 12:00 - 18:00
