Job summary

Kairos Recruitment is seeking a skilled Flexographic Printer for a leading UK label manufacturer based in Boston, Lincolnshire. The role operates a 10-colour Mark Andy press on nights (Sun-Thu 10pm-6am), focusing on quality, efficiency and adherence to processes. DOE salary and a strong attention to detail are expected.

Experience with UV or waterbased flexo presses and 8/10 colour lines is preferred; BRCGS standards knowledge is a plus. You will train and support team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have experience of running a UV or Waterbased flexo press.
• Preferably experience of running an 8/10 colour press (Mark Andy, MPS, Nilpeter, Gallus).
• Flexographic printing experience is essential, particularly labels printing (hot foil, screen and peel & read).
• Good problem-solving skills with a pro-active attitude.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures.
• Working to BRCGS Standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 10 colour narrow web servo-driven Flexographic press - Mark Andy.
• Ensure quality, efficiency and good housekeeping standards.
• Maintain good technical knowledge of labels.
• Manage work schedules and output per business/customer needs.
• Troubleshoot machinery and print quality issues promptly.
• Maintain general maintenance and cleanliness of printing equipment.
• Train and support new and existing printers as required.

This is to work for one of the UK's leading label manufacturers in the UK with 20 years' experience within the industry. They custom make labels for the; food, drinks, chemical, retail, trade industries.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operating a 10 colour narrow web servo-driven Flexographic press - Mark Andy
• Responsible for quality, efficiency and good housekeeping
• Good technical knowledge of labels
• Managing work schedules and output in line with the requirements of the business and its customers
• Ability to trouble shoot and solve issues with machinery or print quality
• Proactively responsible for the general maintenance and cleanliness of all printing equipment and printing components
• Training and supporting new Printers and existing staff as required

Experience

• Must have experience of running a UV or Waterbased flexo press
