Job summary

Centric Talent is seeking a hands-on Flexographic Print Operator for our Pershore site. The role involves operating wide-web flexo presses, printing up to 8 colours on plastic substrates and paper, maintaining quality and uptime across shifts.

You will follow BRC guidelines, assist training of new starters, and contribute to continuous improvement while working in a fast-paced, safety-first environment. Salary is £15-£18.50 per hour with 4-on/4-off rotations.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in flexographic printing.
• Knowledge of lamination and slitting processes.
• Experience mounting process.
• Follow BRC Code of Practice.
• Good attention to detail and ability to problem solve independently.
• Must be able to work as part of a team.
• Adapt to change in a fast-moving environment while maintaining standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and printing high quality designs up to 8 colours onto Flexible plastic substrates and paper
• Maintain a high level of quality, accuracy, and productivity to make sure efficient day to day running of wide web flexographic printing press
• Ensure that press speeds are optimised, maximising uptime and minimising downtime. Continually checking on safe and efficient operation
• Following an appropriate trouble shooting activity elevate maintenance issues
• Pro-active approach so the print machine always runs smoothly; observe the process and spot any issues that may arise, assess, evaluate root cause and use problem-solving skills to correct and rectify
• Report issues to the Quality department that may affect output throughout the shift
• Maintain good housekeeping on the press and surrounding areas - 5S auditing
• Maintain stock levels of all necessary materials to fulfil the shift efficiently
• Dealing with solvent- based inks
• Have the experience and knowledge to provide support and training to any new starters or personnel
• Responsible for basic maintenance and cleaning of print machinery
• Comprehensive handover carried out after every shift
