Atkore is seeking an experienced Machine Setter to support the Flexo department in producing conduits to drawing. The role involves leading the Flexo team, maintaining machine efficiency, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety across shifts.
You will set and run Flexo equipment, monitor quality, and train new starters while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department. The position offers a rotating shift pattern and a range of employee benefits.
Qualifications
- Experience setting machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading a team in a fast-paced production area.
- Knowledge of lean methods and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and meet production targets.
Responsibilities
- Set Flexo machines to produce conduits from 10mm–63mm diameter in galvanised & stainless steel.
- Operate up to 4 Flexo machines to high standards.
- Monitor quality using gauges and inspection tools.
- Maintain machine lubrication and tidy work areas.
- Load coils with coiler and operate lifting equipment.
- Wind and form steel strip to required conduit quality.
- Record production data and ensure conformance to specs.
- Promote safety and follow HSE policies.
