Job summary

Premier Education Ltd in Oldham is seeking a Year 6 Teacher to join a friendly primary school for one day per week, starting ASAP and continuing until Christmas. The role offers flexibility for experienced teachers seeking a rewarding part-time placement.

You will plan and deliver engaging Upper KS2 lessons, assess pupil progress, and work closely with teaching assistants to support pupil development and transitions to secondary school. UK QTS is required.

Qualifications

QTS required (UK).
Experience teaching within Upper KS2, ideally Year 6.
Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Enthusiastic, committed and adaptable approach to teaching.
Availability to work one day per week until Christmas.

Responsibilities

Teach a Year 6 class for one day per week from ASAP until Christmas.
Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive Upper KS2 lessons.
Support pupils with the Year 6 curriculum and preparing them for the transition to secondary school.
Create a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Assess and monitor pupil progress.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues.
Contribute to the wider life of the school.
