Job summary

Grant Thornton UK Advisory and Tax LLP is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the Turnaround and Restructuring Team in Manchester. You will work on investigations, options assessments, contingency planning, and formal insolvency assignments, delivering pragmatic solutions for lenders, investors and management.

You must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong commercial sense and solid Excel and PowerPoint skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Begin to understand and demonstrate market developments and current trends.
• Provide recommendations to negotiations and sales pitches including origination activities.
• Contribute to internal and external presentations for the department and firm.
• Build and nurture your network internally and externally.
• Participate in training, marketing and assignment-related events to promote restructuring services.
• Apply technical knowledge to client contexts with speed in problem solving.
• Make clear recommendations to managers on client issues and options.
