Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Speke, Liverpool (L24) is seeking flexible Day-to-Day Teaching Assistants to support a welcoming primary school from September 2026. The role offers flexible day-to-day opportunities and the chance to gain varied experience across year groups.

The ideal candidate will have experience with children, be comfortable supporting SEND needs, and be able to deliver short interventions in a busy school setting. Competitive pay and weekly PAYE are provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings.
  • Confident supporting pupils with SEND (Autism, ADHD, and Speech & Language needs).
  • Ability to deliver interventions and support small-group learning.
  • Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to muck in when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in class alongside the class teacher.

The Role

As a Day-to-Day Teaching Assistant, you'll provide flexible support across different year groups depending on the school's daily requirements. Your duties may include:

  • Assisting children with additional learning needs and SEND.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Can deliver interventions and support small-group learning.
  • Have a positive, can‑do attitude and aren't afraid to muck in when needed.
  • Are reliable, adaptable and happy working across different classes.
  • Have strong communication skills and can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential).
