Job summary

Trust Housing Association Limited is seeking a dedicated Care & Support Worker to assist older and vulnerable adults in their own homes across Scotland, including Galashiels. Shifts run between 7.00am and 10.00pm seven days a week, with 20 hours per week on a rolling 2-week rota, combining weekdays and weekends with day and back shifts.

Qualifications

• Has experience in the care sector and working with older people or other vulnerable members of the community.
• Holds an SVQ in Health and Social Care or relevant qualification.
• Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills.
• Possesses basic IT skills.
• Previous experience is preferred but not essential; training and support are provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks based on individual care plans.
• Administer medication and provide personal support.
• Help with meals and daily activities as required.
• Provide compassionate and empathetic care to tenants in their own homes.
