Job summary

Hays Education is recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Rugby and surrounding areas in specialist schools, alternative provisions and SEN settings.

We offer day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities to fit your availability, with competitive daily pay and access to long-term and permanent roles. You will work 1:1 or in small groups, helping pupils achieve learning goals while promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
• Backgrounds in education, care, support work, youth work or residential settings welcome.
• Patient, resilient and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Availability for flexible supply work in Rugby.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning support.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Help pupils achieve individual learning goals.
• Engage with a wide network of SEN schools and provisions.
