Job summary

Reed Wellbeing is seeking self-employed Health & Wellbeing Coaches to deliver NHS Healthier You sessions across Essex, in group or one-to-one settings. You will motivate participants to adopt healthier lifestyles and tailor delivery to diverse needs, with travel required and access to your own vehicle.

Roles are expressions of interest to build a pipeline for upcoming contracts. Sessions pay £50 per 90-minute block; availability is 12–20 hours weekly, with opportunities to expand as contracts

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Exercise Referral, Health Improvement/Promotion/Public Health, Nutrition&Weight Management, Coaching&Behaviour Change, or Education & Training.
• Evidence of training or competence in behaviour change delivery (e.g. COM-B, Behaviour Change Wheel, motivational interviewing or health coaching).
• Fully First Aid trained, with a valid certificate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver NHS Healthier You Programme sessions in group and/or 1:1 settings.
• Motivate and empower participants to adopt sustainable lifestyle and behaviour changes.
• Adapt delivery to diverse needs and learning styles, creating an inclusive environment.
• Monitor progress, conduct regular reviews, and identify additional support needs.
• Signpost to local health and wellbeing services when required.
• Participate in training and quality improvement activities to ensure high standards.
• Contribute ideas to improve programme delivery and outcomes.
